Access to Jeju Island

Jeju International Airport, the 2nd largest airport in South Korea, is in the north of Jeju Island. Jeju International Airport easily connects Korea with the major cities of China, Japan, and other Southeast Asian countries, via a total of 29 direct flight routes (13 domestic and 16 international).
There are three ways to fly to Jeju Island: by direct international flight, by transferring at either Incheon International Airport or Gimpo Airport to a domestic flight to Jeju. We recommend that visitors take a direct international flight to Jeju Island for their convenience.

Flights to Jeju via Incheon and/or Gimpo International Airport

Upon arriving at Incheon International Airport, passengers can either transfer to domestic flights from Incheon to Jeju, or go to Gimpo Airport, where they can take domestic flights to every destination in Korea. All visitors to the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport and visa. Jeju’s visa-free access policy applies only to passengers taking direct flights to Jeju. ※ The visa-free policy is not applicable for passengers arriving at Jeju via Incheon and/or Gimpo Airport.

Way 1) Incheon Int’I Airport → Jeju Int’I Airport

Incheon International Airport (IATA: ICN) is the largest airport in South Korea, the primary airport serving the Seoul Capital Area, and one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. There are currently over 90 airlines serving ICN with flights to more than 170 countries.

Domestic flights from Incheon to Jeju operate once or twice a day. It takes approximately one hour.

Transfer Information at Incheon Int’I Airport

Way 2) INCHON Int’I Airport → GIMPO Airport (Domestic) → Jeju Int’I Airport

On arriving at Incheon Int’l Airport, passengers may transfer to Gimpo Int’l Airport by airport limousine bus or AREX (Airport Railroad train).There are 50 to 70 flights every day from Gimpo Airport to Jeju with Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, Jin Air, and t’way Air. Domestic flights from Gimpo to Jeju operate 15 to 20 minutes intervals daily from 06:55 to 20:50. It takes approximately one hour.

How to use Limousine bus in Incheon Int’l Airport
The limousine bus runs every day at 5 to 10-minute intervals. It takes about 45 minutes to Gimpo Int’l Airport.

How to use AREX in Incheon Int’l Airport
It takes about 37 minutes for KRW 3,850 (*US$ 3.3, Single Use Pass with extra KRW 500 deposit should be purchased, and the deposit will be returned at Gimpo.). It operates from 05:50 until 23:58.
